Spring/Summer 2012 Class Schedule

Classes offered April 2012 thru June 30th 2012

Farmer’s Market Excursion and Brunch Cooking Class
2nd and 4th Sunday of the Month, 9am – 1pm, $125/person
2012 Dates: January 15th, February 12th, 26th, March 11th, 25th, April 8th, 22nd, May 13th, 27th, June 10th and 24th.
Does going to the Farmer’s Market leave you feeling overwhelmed and confused? Have a hard time distinguishing a sweet melon from a bitter melon? Do you think a Loofah is something that you use in the shower? Then join me the second and fourth Sunday of the month beginning in November from 9-1pm. We will meet at the Stonestown Farmer’s Market, located behind Macy’s in the Stonestown Shopping Center. (Plenty of parking!) 

After we shop the market, we will return to the cooking studio learn the ins and out of brunch. So if omelet making has got you down and waffles make you weep then this class is for you!

Instructions will cover:

  • Egg Cookery—Perfect Omelets and Poached Eggs
  • Demystify Hollandaise Sauce
  • Freshly Squeezed Juice
  • Waffles or Pancakes with Seasonal Fruit Compote
  • Seasonal side dishes

Indian Cuisine
Tuesdays 6-9pm, $90/person
April 10th, 17th, May 8th, 22nd June 5th and 19th 2012
Vegetarian Indian Cuisine
Fridays 6-9pm, $90/person
April 13th, 20th, May 11th , 25th June 15th and 29th 2012
Does walking by an Indian restaurant make your mouth water? In this three hour hands on class we will explore the rich world of Indian cuisine. We will make a full dinner, replete with chutneys, naan, curry and more. Learn how to make ghee and paneer from scratch! Other recipes include: Lamb Vindaloo, Butter Chicken, Biriyani, Saag Paneer and more!
*This class is suitable for all levels of experience.

Italian Small Plates
Tuesdays 6-9pm, $90/person
April 3rd, 17th, May 1st, 15th, 29th, June 12th and 26th 2012
Italian food can be some of the most delicious. In this 3 hour hands on course the recipes that we will make will include risotto and arancini, bruschetta, Polpettes (meatballs), caponata and gelato for dessert. *Fresh pasta by request.

Get your Grill on! Cooking with the Big Green Egg and Wood Fired Oven
Saturday 1-4, $90/person
April 14th, 28th, May 12th, 26th and June 9th 2012
Whether you have always been intimidated by outdoor cooking you just want to refine your technique, this class is for you! In this three hour, hands on class we will go over starting and managing your fire as well as marinades and side dishes. We’ll make Grilled Thai style chicken, Wood Oven Roasted Mussels, Tandoori Chicken, Pizza and more!
