Chef Phoebe Schilla

Chef Phoebe grew up in a food-focused New England family. She began cooking at age 7 and left the country for the first time in 1993 to study French Cuisine at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris.

After returning to the US and completing her formal education at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY, she moved to the Bay Area and started her own personal chef service. She has written articles for the Huffington Post and other publications and cooked for presidential candidates, foreign leaders, and other internationally recognized figures. Beyond private dining and catering, she has taught thousands of aspiring chefs in hands-on cooking classes and team-building events.

Chef Phoebe loves sharing her love of food and cooking with people from all walks of life. She resides in the Balboa Terrace neighborhood of San Francisco with her husband Peter and their 3 children Lillian, Max, and Louise.

Gabe Amaya | Sous Chef

Growing up in Mexico in an agricultural family, Gabe first learned to cook from his Mom. He has owned two restaurants. The first was in Guadalajara and the second was Ollea, on California and Larkin in San Francisco. After selling Ollea, in 2013, Gabe brought his love of food and dining, an abundance of knowledge and his easy-going good nature to Studio of Good Living and all our culinary endeavors.
